Description:

This is a unique, non restored, very good condition, working vintage 1930's tube radio.

It's in a beautifuly crafted solid wood cabinet, possibly maple, and is of high quality, in both design and materials. Standing 15"high X 12"wide X 8" deep, weighing 14lbs., it is hand signed with a oval logo on the back- A John J. Spinak Original. On the underside is a label-Approved City of LA Bldg and Safety 69608.

I have not seen another one like this, a French provincial style radio, ornately trimmed with brass, and has a storage drawer. The speaker, dial(50-160) and tuning knobs are protected by two wire lattice doors, that can be opened or securely latched. The back has a creatively carved design. It is in original, non restored condition, has a few scratches in the finish, but otherwise is in very good condition, and still operates with good volume and reception. My grandmother, a talk radio fan, was it's original owner, and she took very good care of it. PRICE $500.00 Oceanside,California

							Description:

Here for auction is one of the sought after full BBC specification narrow body EMT 950 turntables, far easier to accomodate than the wide body version. It is complete with the 929 arm, fitted with the TSD headshell and a Shure cartridge. See also my wide body EMT 950 listed if that is what you need.

No reserve auction starting at 0.01 gbp.

It is in truly excellent working order with smooth running and quiet bearings, All of the switches work and it is ready to rock and roll.

Cosmetically speaking, the turntable itself is really very good with remarkably good paintwork, bearing in mind that it has been a working turntable. There is some wear on the paint on the outer housing. No lid however.

XLR connections at the rear from a built in high quality phono preamp.

Set for 240 Volt/ 50 Hz but this can be changed to work on any power worldwide.

For more information, please contact me to : multi.shops@yahoo.com

THANK YOU!

							Description:

Here is a neat, old 1950s era National SW-54 shortwave receiver! This was a basic, entry level, SWL or Novice ham receiver. It does have 'pro' features such as mechanicl bandspread and a BFO but it is basically a glorified 'All American 5' radio at heart. The styling is very nice for a communications recever and it is an item that any collector of vintage ham gear should have!

As to this particular receiver, it's appearance is good in most respects but there is some rust on the top not all of which shows in the picture (plan on it being a bit worse than what you see). The chassis does seem to be working but the tuning knob is loose so the dial doesn't move. This is likely an easy to fix problem.

Actual shipping costs are additional. There is NO handling charge! There is a 10 day right of return provided that this receiver is returned in the like shape in which it was shipped. Insurance is recommended and I cannot be responsible al all for uninsured items!

							Description:

This is a Masterwork 'The Rover' 45 RPM carry along portable record player. In 1966 (or so), this was as close to an iPod as you got! Simple, just slide in your favorite 45 RPM record and play it. No complicated screen, just a volume control and a Reject button! This 'Made in Italy' player is in like new condition physically and even includes it's original clamshell styrofoam molded packaging but no box (sorry). Unfortunately, it doesn't work. I put batteries in and did get some audio when I turned the record a bit by hand but that soon quit. The motor does not seem to be running. I have had this piece a long time. For some reason, it occurs to me that this may have been a store return item that got sqirrelled away. At any rate there never were terribly common an it is a neat piece for transistor radio or (relatively) modern phonograph collectors.

							Description:

Here is an oddball item that is actually pretty cool in it's own way: a JFD 'Tuck-Away' booster. This unit is a model SW and is designed to amplifiy TV channel 6. It came from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia where channel 6 from Richmond, despite being about 120 miles away was the only CBS TV channel that they could receive! This one tube RF amplifier was designed to mount inobtrusively on a wall or on the back of the TV set. It is designed as being 'wafer thin', a bit of an exageration. I have included a picture of the interior just to show you the construction quality. Whether you have any interest in this item or not, that picture will be of interest to many of us 'old tech' types! By the way, even the original box is included!

Actual shipping is additional. There is NO handling charge! This item may be returned within 7 days for a full refund less only shipping charges provided that it is returned in the condition in which it was shipped. Insurance is recommended. I cannot be respoinsible in any way for uninsured items!

							Description:

Here is an Astatic B-10 'Tru-Tan Offset Head' crystal turntable 'pickup'. It is designed for 10" 78 RPM record use. The mounting template is dated 3-18-37. The hardware and 'Astatic Tone Equalizer' plastic knob and control indicator plate are included as are the wood screws to mount the tone arm and tone arm rest. No equalizer is included. Notably, the cartridge mounting plate is a side mounted affair that was probably designed to use a specific cartridge. A few parts of a microswitch (and a complete one) that someone probably tried to use to make a mount for a standard cartridge are included although I don't think that the ages old experiment was successful. The tone arm rest may be hand made or may just not have been fully finished as solder and sanding areas are showing at the top and bottom. It seems to be factory finished otherwise.

The arm itself looks like new! In addition to the 'Mouinting Layout For B-10 Pickup' sheet, an 'Instructions for Installing Astatic Crystal Pickup' sheet (insect damaged), a schematic for 'Tone Equalizer for Crystal Pickups' (this may have been 'do it yourself'), and a hand drawn tube input schematic is also included.

There is a 7 day right of return on this item. All shipping charges are your responsibility though. Insurance is strongly recommended. I can't be responsible in any way for uninsured items.

							Description:

This is an NBC television 12 inch square sticker likely meant for cameras and other publically displayed equipment. It has a bit of wrinkling along the seam but is supple and in good shape and the sticky aspect seems to be just fine. If you want to use it, it should flatten and work fine such as trying to get anything this size to apply perfectly!

History: The 'Proud N' logo was an amalgomation of the big stylized 'N' that NBC used from 1975-1979 which was parodied by Gilda Radner's 'Dancing N' intro to Saturday Night Live's news segment in January 1976 and the earlier and much used peacock logo that NBC used to introduce color programming in the 1950s and 60s. The original 'N' logo also got NBC in a trademark fight with Nebraska Public Television (NBT) who had trademarked a nearly identical logo about a month before NBC started using their logo. In 1986 NBC went to their still used six feather peacock logo with a big 'NBC' below the peacock. (Info source: Wikipedia)

Continental US shipping will be $1.50 for First Class or $4.90 for Priority Mail Shipping. Insurance would be $1.75 additional (a bit steep but that is it). I have more than one of this item and shipping would remain the same for 2-3 stickers. There is a 7 day right of return on this item. All shipping charges are your responsibility though. Insurance is strongly recommended. I can't be responsible in any way for uninsured items.

Thanks for looking!

							Description:

Here is a very nice Toshiba 6TP-309A 6 transistor radio from 1960. This radio has a very attractive reverse paint top dial section. There are no case problems at all other than an exceedingly minor dent in the metal grille. The chassis is loose though and it could use a couple of screws and an earphone nut. The radio does work but the tuning capacitor does have some problems. The leather case is in excellent shape too save for some missing gold leaf from the Toshiba name imprinted on it. The original owners name is neatly written inside the top of the case flap. If you once owned on of these and you lived in Taranto, Italy in 1960, your old radio mayhave been found!

Actual shipping costs are additional. Insurance is recommended. I cannot be held responsible for damage or non-delivery of uninsured items. I will help in any way that I can with insured items in the unlikely (but real) event that there should there be a problem.
